Rice water and coconut milk for hair.

4th May, 2017
I'm constantly on a look out for new and healthy home hair remedies and skin remedies. No store purchased beauty product full of chemicals can replace a 'all natural' home made one. I've came across this rice water and coconut milk hair mask not that long ago and decided to give it a go, bearing in mind all the coconut benefits I've learnt about in the past.

Benefits of rice water and coconut milk:
Rice water exhibits hair care effects such as decreasing surface friction and improving hair elasticity. It contains inositol, a carbohydrate that can repair damaged hair as well as protect it from damage. Not only that, rice water contains natural saponins, so it can also be used as a mild cleanser. The list of hair benefits of coconut milk never ends. From restoring dry, damaged hair, promoting hair growth to conditioning and many more.

How to make it?
You will need few spoons of white rice, the idea is to pour it with boiling water and let it soak overnight. Separate water from rice. You can store it in a small container or an empty spray bottle in the fridge for up to a week. When buying coconut milk go for one that contains the least chemicals and is the most organic one.

Application:
Before applying this or any other hair mask I would strongly recommend scalp cleansing peeling, which I have previously shared with you. The application is very easy, spray your hair with the rice water thoroughly, apply coconut milk from roots to ends. It won't hurt to give your scalp a little massage, which will help to absorb all the nutrients from the coconut milk as well as improve circulation in that area which will benefit your hair in the long run!

Results?
This is by far the best hair mask that I have tried and can truly recommend this to every one and each of my readers. My hair became much shinier and healthy looking. My curls are also more visible. I used to have very curly hair in the past, unfortunately due to none stop ironing and dyeing they faded away. Overall my scalp and hair are very moisturise. The results were visible after the first time I've used this.

What are your home remedies for hair, skin or nails?
I would love to try them out!
